Rates

Roster Rates are set out in Rule 24.1 of the Rules of Civil Procedure:

PER 3-HOUR SESSION (HALF-DAY MEDIATION)

(INCLUDES ½ HR PREPARATION TIME PER PARTY):

        • 2 parties           $600
        • 3 parties           $675
        • 4 parties           $750
        • 5 parties +        $825

PER 7-HOUR SESSION (FULL DAY MEDIATION)

(INCLUDES 1 HR PREPARATION TIME PER PARTY):

        • 2 parties           $1500
        • 3 parties           $1750
        • 4 parties           $2000

*HST is payable on all fees.

**Extra charges include the cost of booking boardroom and catering, admin fee to make such bookings (15%), mileage (42¢/km), parking, travel time charged at $150/hr, $30 for the preparation and filing of a Mediator Report where applicable, and disbursements.

***$295/hour charged for time beyond the booked time slot.

****Unrepresented parties must pay in advance.

*****Invoices for legally represented parties payable within sixty (60) days, 1.5% monthly interest charged thereafter, compounded monthly.

 

Additional Fees:

If the Mediation is being held outside of Toronto, the following charges may be added:

    • Depending on the venue, possibly expenses for plane tickets, train tickets, car rental (or charges at 42¢/km), lodging, meals, etc
    • 15% admin fee on booking tickets and arranging for lodging.

Cancellations:

    • $600.00 (for half-day), $1,200 (for full-day) ("the Cancellation Fee"), plus disbursements incurred up to the date of cancellation, plus applicable H.S.T.;
    • A Cancellation Fee will be waived provided that:
      • the mediation is rescheduled with 360 Mediations for the same or more hours and that alternatively scheduled mediation actually takes place; and
      • the notice to reschedule is provided not less than twenty (20) days before the scheduled mediation.
